FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF THE UNION CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION
The congressional resolution of an emergency congress of Great Ife students which held at the level of Afrika Amphi Theater on the 27th of august 2015 which started around 04:31pm include:
CLOSURE OF LATE REGISTRATION
The congress resolved that a letter should be written to the management demanding for an extension of late registration and the names of the students that are having problems with their registration should be compiled and submitted to the office of the registrar so their E-portal can be opened.
Owing to the challenge encountered by some students to pay their school fees and the number of applicants for the students’ union scholarship scheme, congress demands that there should be a review of last increment in school fees by the university.
STUDENTS’ UNION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The congress resolved that since there is no sponsorship on ground, the union should immediately remove the funds from the union dues to pay the school fees of indigent students.
STATE OF THE UNION
WELFARE
The congress resolved that the CEC should continue to work towards reducing exploitation and epileptic and erratic light and water supply.
FINANCE
The congress resolved that pending the ratification of the budget, autonomous spending should be allowed for union officers in the case of exigent expenses as long as it will be recorded and accounted for.
